NADIAARDITTI (Turkish 1948 -)
Born in İstanbul in 1948, Nadia grew up in Geneva and completed her education in Lausanne starting painting.(Atelier Martini, Geneva). She returned to İstanbul in 1978 and took up sculpting which became her life`s passion.
The colourful patinas are applied by the sculptress in her own workshops in İstanbul and in Kozlu, Canakkale. This environment has inspired new sculptures reflecting mystic spirits, wavy figures and plants flying with the wind.
She has had 36 solo exhibitions and 42 collective exhibitions. Her work is to be found in private collections in many countries including Turkey, Switzerland, Spain, USA, China, Belgium, France and the UK. From 1994 to 2010 she regularly participated in the Istanbul Contemporary Art Shows.

2005 `Solidarity` bronze sculpture(2m) Jewish Hospital Or Ahayım, Istanbul
2006 `Soaring Spirit` (210x225x96 cm) West Sound on Orcas Island, Washington State. This monument is the first sculpture of this dimension made in Turkey and installed in the US.
