KEMALSIRIN (Turkish/Swiss - )
Kemal is a Turkish and Swiss national, born in Turkey, raised in Geneva. He graduated from Tufts University, Boston in 2000 and holds a double degree in Psychology and Economics. Between 1999 and 2006 he worked in leading financial institutions in the United States and Switzerland. Since 2006, he decided to move to Turkey, where he has been working as Business Development Manager in the field of telecommunications.
His interest in photography led him to take Creative Portrait lessons from famous Turkish photograph artist Çerkez Karadağ. He travels to many regions of the world and takes photographs of places and people as well as rituals that inspire him. His photos have been published in Britain’s best selling photo magazine, Digital Photo.
His collaborative work with artist Semra Ozumerzifon (www.semra.com) produced a project named "Rumelikavagi'ndan Anadolu'ya Ag” and is currently being exposed in Turkey (started in Eskisehir, and Ankara; next to come are Konya, Istanbul and Bodrum, summer 2013).
Kemal is the resident photographer of the Pierre Loti School, theatre group named Atelierloti.(www.atelierloti.com).
In addition to his professional life, he is currently preparing a book of photographs and writings on his spiritual inspirations.
