At the age of 13 Robert began experimenting with his growing love for art by assembling collages that depicted surrealistic imagery interacting with environments that seemed to come through other dimensions of time and space, challenging and inviting the viewer to share in Fleischman's unique vision. Soon he began creating musical representations of his art. From painting to collage, digital art and sculpting he has remained a unique, relevant and important figure within the art and music world.
Robert Fleischman’s “Chess Queen” is a digital collage that visually represents the dominance of the Chess Queen on the board. She is placed front and center, her height towers above all the other pieces on the board, and if she makes one move she will knock over all the obstacles in her path. There is a trap to her left but her attention seems to be somewhere else entirely. She’s not concerned to about what’s impeding her from moving forward. She knows she can overcome anything that comes her way.
